An rally and march organized by the Answer Coalition took place on Saturday and Sunday in Washington D.C.. War protesters in the thousands including Iraq War veterans, marched from the White House to the Capitol calling for an end to the war and Bush’s Impeachment. About 190 protesters were arrested mainly for jumping over a metal barricade in front of the Capitol, after about 5000 people staged a die-in on the lawn of the Capitol.

Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan’s message to the crowd “it’s is time to be assertive.”

About a thousand counter protesters gathered blocks away, lead by Retired Air Force Lt. Col. Robert “Buzz” Patterson, whose message was:

“Congress, quit playing games with our troops. Terrorists, we will find you and kill you,” he said. “And to our troops, we’re here for you, and we support you.”
