Courts Deny Experimental Drugs
The Federal Court of Appeals denied a request to make it a Constitutional right for terminally ill patients to be treated with experimental drugs. By a vote of 8-2 the court overturned an earlier decision by a lower court,”to create a constitutional right for patients to assume “any level of risk” without regard to medical testing”, even though FDA approval can take years and can mean certain death for some.
