Living Life As A Refugee…
Life as a refugee cannot be easy, imagine being displaced and uprooted from your home and to have to leave everything that you know, or lose your life. That is the case for thousands in the Central African Republic. A little known country by the rest of the world, the Central African Republic is rich in diamonds, uranium and gold, but is one of the poorest nations in the world.
War is the cause for it’s refugee problem. People fleeing conflicts between rebels and the government since 2001. Estimated 265,000 displaced by the ravages of war. Adding insult to injury the Central African Republic is stuck between other war torn nations, Chad, Sudan’s Darfur Region and the Democratic Republic of Congo, all in conflict today and all displacing their own people to the region’s refugee camps.
Living in refugee camps is not easy, international aid is coming but not fast enough. Leaving the violence of war only to face the insecurity of refugee life plagued with poverty and illness.
Our job as citizens of this world is to bring awareness to the rest of the world about little know regions like the Central African Republic and the refugee problem that they are experiencing, through our blogging and social networking and to contribute what we can to aid organizations that go into these areas to help out.
Every little bit helps: Here are some Aid Organizations that go into these worn torn areas and try to help in the refugee situtation.

It is tragic that the innocent children suffer the most out of war. Very useful links, at the end of an excellent post. Best wishes.

It is a tragedy! My last two posts have been on similar topics and researching them was so heart breaking.
